The beginnings of Pride in Park Ridge
Pride in Park Ridge is an annual community-led LGBTQIA+ celebration organized and sponsored by several inclusive congregations, local organizations, and volunteers.
This celebration unites the Park Ridge community with many other cities around the country that celebrate Pride Month.
Our Story
Pride in Park Ridge grew out of a desire from youth in Park Ridge to have a way to celebrate Pride in their town. A group of clergy, volunteers and teens rallied around the idea in 2024 to put on the first Pride in Park Ridge hosted at Park Ridge Community Church.
Throughout that first event the buzz in the air was excitement and gratitude that this event was taking place in Park Ridge.
Our team got together to make the next Pride in Park Ridge bigger and better.
In 2025, Pride in Park Ridge moved into Hodges Park!
Entertainment included live music, line dancing, inflatables, face-painting and drag performance! Park Ridge was electric that night with PRIDE - joy radiating through the whole crowd.
Local businesses, vendors and LGBTQIA+ advocates were valued partners in making Pride in Park Ridge a wonderful event.
